Residents of the state of Florida can take advantage of the free Voluntary Prekindergarten (FREE VPK) education program at select childcare facilities throughout Broward County. This innovative program is designed to provide children with the best possible start for their academic careers. The Early Learning Centers of Broward (ELC Broward) are the ideal location for introducing your four or five-year-old to the joys of learning. We offer customized care at each of our four locations in Sunrise, Plantation, and Margate to ensure that your little one receives the support he or she needs to succeed in kindergarten and beyond.
How VPK Works
Children who are four years old on September 1 of the current calendar year are eligible to enroll in FREE VPK through a participating Preschool or childcare facility. The state of Florida will pay for 540 hours of Preschool time during the school year and up to 300 hours during the summer month. The added funding provided by the FREE VPK program can make attendance at ELC Broward even more affordable for parents who require full-time care for their Preschool-aged children. We offer care from 6:30 in the morning until 6:00 in the evening to ensure the greatest convenience and peace of mind for parents in the state of Florida.
The Office of Early Learning for the State of Florida approved ELC Broward to participate in the FREE VPK Program.
We have also earned APPLE Accreditation and have been awarded the Gold Seal of Excellence for Preschool and childcare facilities in Florida. Our experienced teachers and administrators provide each child with the personalized attention and care needed to help them reach their full potential in the critical early years of life. At ELC Broward, we offer the most nurturing and enriching environment for your child.
The entire educational team at ELC Broward are absolutely committed to your child’s success. Our teaching plans are based on the nationally acclaimed Creative Curriculum system and are designed to accommodate a wide range of learning styles and interests. This can allow your child to shine in the academic setting and can establish a foundation for growth and learning in the future.
